ASC subsystem cannot be read by a standard reader like the peak tool. You need the codes read by an advanced scanner that can read specifically the SRS system. Take it to a shop and have them read it for you. That type of scanner is stupid expensive.

The ASC system starts at the wheel speed sensors. If you have a bad sensor or a bad front wheel bearing the light will come on. As soon as I changed my front wheel bearing mine went off. See if you can find a way to test the speed sensors unless you have a bad bearing. Start there. I know others will disagree but Ive found most of the modules in these cars aren't usually the cause of the problem. Its more likely to be a sensor or fuse or relay or some mechanical part. The control modules seem to be where to go as a last resort to fix something.

my connector had a funny habit of unplugging itself. so i would start there... then prob the wheel sensors... mine worked goo for a while and then it just stopped... couldnt figure it out... so my fix was, remove bulb from cluster, remove the asc plate in the intake. and installed stut bar. :)
