My Mini has a several rattles that the dealership can not seem to find the source of. I have one in my back hatch, one in my dash and a LOUD one in my sunroof. I can tolerate the dash and the hatch, but the sunroof is very loud. When I open the sunroof it stops and if i hold the wind bar down it stops rattling. Can anyone help me? Also my car sometimes almost stalls when i have my foot down completely on the clutch. Does anyone else have this problem?

I can't help you with any of those rattles. The only issue I'm having with mine is a squeak from the driver seat, and I'm pretty positive that its from my huge ass sitting in the seat.

The stalling thing I had happen to me occasionally when the engine was cold. On winter mornings (and this was in NJ, so them temperature was way below freezing) if I tried to drive it without letting it warm up for at least 5 minutes then the revs would drop very low, and it would sometimes stall, with the clutch all the way in. Other than that I haven't had any problems. :dunno

btw, welcome to the MINI forum Julie!

I have read about some sun roof rattles somewhere. Seems to me that it was fixed with some felt?

I haven't had any of these problems. Occasionally, I get a small click from the glove box door, but since it isn't bad, I haven't fixed it. I know what I need to do...some felt there...but haven't done it yet. Good luck, and welcome!

I think the air flaps are rattling in your sun roof.

When you open your sun roof you'll notice that two spring loaded flaps will rise (keeps the flowing air out of your car).

Just get some (crap can't remember what it's called) of that tape that has foam on one side and adhesive on the other. Put some on each flap, and viola, rattle gone.
