So I just picked up a set of e36 fitment gottis 17x8 et41. I plan on making them 17x8.5 in the future. (when I refinish them next winter) what size tire do you guys think would be best? And do you guys know what my offset would be if added a 1/2in wider lip? Oh and they are going on my 94 325i that is lowered on ddm coils.

Thanks guys
Ian

Bump

Just got them this morning turns out they are 17x8.5. But are stamped 17x8 so someone put bigger lips on them.

either a 205 or a 215. i had 205's on my roadstar rears and now have 225 if you want more look than function go 205/50

So the kid said they were 17x8 all around but said he wasn't sure so the first thing I did when they got to my house was measure them. They are actually 17x8.5 all around... which is better cause this is the size I planned on making them. I had roadstars on my last e36 with 215s all around and I'm pretty much over the whole stretch/poke thing. I ended up getting 225/45s all around. I think it looks great, there is no rubbing at all and my car handles awesome.

Wow that's a crazy set up. I sold my roadstars to a friend that is now running them on his e28 with 1/2 inch spacers up front and they look pretty sick. I always liked those wheels they are just too hard to make look proper I guess.

That's cool that you got good deal. I knew it was gonna be hard to sell those things cause they were green, but my friend has access to a sandblaster so he took them and refinished them.

Just crappy cell pics for now. New fender/hood/nose panel/m bumper are in for paint right now. I should have some real pics up next week and if not you'll see it if you go on the beach cruise.http://i578.photobucket.com/albums/ss226/iferro/2010-05-24134116.jpg

Your car looks really good with those wheels. I wish I had my coil overs and roadstars at the same time :(

not bad man is your front offset lower than your rear or is that just the way it looks in the picture, im not a big fan of the M front bumper on the non m cars i gusse i kinda like the non m fronts, love M rear bumpers though. yea im stil not positive on the details, like where it is and such on what day, i work many hours so thats a factor. if you got AIM send me a message at code2k4.
ohh your not keeping with the rusty hood trend?

My nose panel is black. As for my hood its just a temp thing. I originally got it off a parts car I had and rusted it cause it was super ugly flat black and had a few small dents. I only did it cause I had just sold my c/f hood and needed something. Not sure if it would rust through. I think I could just sand it off.

Oh your cody that was gonna buy my wheels last year? Lol
I don't have aim. Just my droid.
and I at first I was totally against m parts on my non m. But the bumper I have now have some decent scratches and would need some work and I had the m bumper layin around so I figure I might as well use it. Ill be keeping the rust hood but I want a good hood for everyday use. But ill definately throw the rusty one on once in a while.

My wheels are a square set up. Just 17x8.5 is a little big for the front so they do sit out a little more. Ill be getting spacers for the back just need to do some rolling first.

Yeah. The beach thing is the 19th but everyone is voting on where it should be so no one knows where its gonna be yet. What are you doing for a swap? And high miles on an m50? No such thing lol
