Found this auction from bimmer.info.
Pretty good price for koni adjustables. I paid exactly $600 shipped from BMA, tire rack and other places are around $600 w/ shipping. You may want to check p/n's from other vendors to make sure it fits your car
no afillilation with seller.

Those shocks are old stock & the seals are probably dry and leaking. Worse yet, you forfeit the Koni lifetime warranty since they are not an authorized dealer with a bonafide receipt. It ain't worth saving a few bux.

Oops, my bad.. thanks rob.
i dont know about warranty, but I had a defective shock (ordered from BMA), talked with the koni rep, and simply mailed it to him for inspection. he had another dropshipped to me with no mention of BMA or authorized retailer.

That is encouraging, but it sounds like you're talking about fairly fresh shocks being exchanged. That may be the difference. After the strut or shock is a few years old, Koni gets real strict with lifetime warranty repair. If they are out of production & require rebuild under warranty, they even want the original reciept. I've dealt with them 3 times on warranty issues and a bonafide reciept was mandated. I am not sure how they would have reacted, if the reciept was from an individual selling on ebay. My reciept was from Fastire which was before Tire Rack (name changed about 10 years ago). Anyone curious, call 1-800-FAS-TIRE and you still get Tire Rack.
