View Full Version : Reverse light wire near the head unit?

Where can I find it? The rear one is blue/yellow and I need to connect my head unit so I can turn on my reverse camera input.

Anyone know a good place to tie into it?

Hey i know you are looking for this now but if it can wait until Monday i will make a video of the procedure for finding it. I upgraded my mirror to an auto dim one and had to do this.

I already have my camera wired to the reverse lights in the back, I just need to find the same wire up front so I can have it turn my head unit on when I put it in reverse.

Ya no problem, I will do this tomorrow evening as i am working the weekend. Its really not too bad but you have to take a few things apart.

Do you have an auto or manual?

I have a manual- I thought it might either be in the bundle of wires running inside the center console, on the passenger side, or I could maybe find it behind the glovebox.

I'm seriously considering just putting a switch on it so I can turn it on at anytime though :)

I'm guessing you ran the wire down the a pillar?

Hey Drewsnodgrass. I did the video this evening but i misspoke about 1 item so i have to redo it tomorrow. I am beat. Will have it very soon!

But in the meantime i did post a new video up on the site for cleaning headlights if you need.

It's no problem, I'm actually on vacation. I'm just planning on doing the auto dim and clown nose led.

If you need to connect the reverse cam wire from your head unit, get 20 inch of wire (extension) and rip out your sunglasses cubby hole. There you will find a blue and yellow wire to splice into.
