I am having some challenges getting photos into my posts. My photos seem to come out too large for the board to accept them as attachments or embedded in the post, and I can't figure out how to shrink them after the fact.
Can anyone comment on the best way to do this or direct me to some instructions? There are some pictures of bearings and other suspension pieces I want to post.

Best thing to do is upload to tinypic.com, imageshack.us, or photobucket.com. Then click the "Insert Image" icon during your post and enter the URL.

Use picture editing software (PaintShop Pro) to resize the images. My camera is set to take quite large sized pictures. I resize to about 25% before I upload images. Before resize is often about 3500KB and after about 100KB.

Photo editing software is fine for resizing if you have a small number of pictures. But if you have a lot of pictures, try using a batch photo resizing program like Fotosizer.
However, those websites I linked to above will actually automatically resize the photo down quite a bit. If you resize *before* uploading, then it will just take less time to upload.

I use photobucket.com myself and have no complaints. It also re sizes all of my pictures for me, during an upload.
