Did the 635csi's lack the bottom part of the front bumper until '86? A 1985 one I am interested in lacks it, though the gentleman who is selling it says he would include a body kit with it for $3000 all together (thread is here, if interested in looking at it: http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1411630). Here is a picture:

This would be my first car if I purchase it and I am not entirely sure about the pricing of it, so if you want to help me out with it, let me know. I do not want to share information the seller did not have when he listed it with just anyone.

My take is that all the to do about front spoilers, side skirts, etc. is overblown. Lower that car by a modest inch and leave it spoilerless and it will look real sharp as the natural lines of a 6er stand handsome & distinct on their own. I also think $2600 is a very fair price if all else checks out

Front bumper looks like it is on upside down. The 85 635 should have the front spoiler with foglights. The 84 633 did not. Car has been repainted, VIN has been reissued: i wonder if it is a salvage car or has salvage history. Not sure why a new VIN would be reissued if the correct one exist on the door jamb and engine. Should also be in the engine bay. The only time I have seen a reissued VIN is with a salvage or reconstructed vehicle (could be wrong). Anyway, I would definately have the car throughly looked at and I would want to know more on the circumstance with the VIN and the extent of the damage.

I know the circumstances. Will PM you about it.

EDIT: Forgot I can't PM. Hmm... Wasn't destroyed or anything though. More like stolen and retrieved some time ago. Was sold to a dealership, then someone bought it but never drove it, then sold to a friend who repaired it to function in its current state.
