My wiper arm broke off at the tip where the wiper snaps in :(
According to this diagram I need to remover #2:http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/c/i/229.png
I tried. It will not budge. It comes up a few milimeters and has wiggle room but no matter how hard I pull it up; it doesn't come all the way off. :mad
Anyone have any pointers on how to get it off so I can get the nut that holds the arm on?
Thanks.

#15 has to come out, first. It anchors #2.
Chances are, #15 is rusted in place. May have to employ various extraction techniques to get it out, including breaking #2, and then pushing out #15 from underneath. Then buy a new #2 from the dealer and it just snaps into place. Stays put just fine w/out #15.

If 15 is out, then you just need to yank on 2.
Chances are, its weather-beaten and ugly anyway, so if need be, use a screw driver and pry it out. The replacement is cheap and will look much better.
EDIT: If 15 was not a torx, then somebody has prolly already done the procedure I described in post 2 above. The torx bolt rusts into the captive nut it screws into and when you try to remove it the nut simply spins w/ the torx bolt in the plastic base. When the torx bolt comes out it brings the nut w/ it - its all essentially rusted into a single unit.
Hopefully, they did not epoxy #2 in place or anything . . .

Likewise.:D
I bet somebody epoxied that sucker in there. Maybe try some heat and then prying it free.

Have the same issue, but the broken knuckle for the wiper are won't come off the threaded pivot point. Looks like it should slide off. Any ideas?
