I was contacted by this client the other day for a 1-Step Polish. He used some Turtle Wax Clay and ended up marring the finish of the car. I was able to achieve about 80-90% of correction. The owner was extremely please with the results of the 1-Step Polish

Holy crap that's horrible.
So... Does this mean that giving a newbie an aggressive clay bar and expecting him to not destroy his clearcoat is about as bad as giving a newbie a Flex and expecting him to not destroy his clearcoat??:confused Which is the lesser of the evils?
All I'm saying is that the 'before' pictures in that video are horrible, but I think it could've been WAY worse.

It looks great in the end, though, and I guess that's all that matters. Excellent job!:buttrock

All clays will mar the finish of the paint. The different levels of marring depend on the type of clay you use and how hard or soft the clear coat. I recommend polishing the car after a medium or an aggressive clay.
