Are the driver and passenger seats powered?..do you have any pictures of them?....I recently acquired an '85 shark car and to my disappointment some one botched in some racing seats in the front. I would really like to return the car to its former factory options. How much would you be looking to get for them?

Interior is beige
seats are not available
I'll check on the radio
5speed works not sure if 260 or 265 I'll check

About the radio,
I have one that another man sold me WITHOUT the code.
I tried to look up the number at the BMW dealer, no workie...

It is no good because I could never get the code to make it work.

IF you have the code to make it work then I will buy it.

sure that trans. isnt a 260/6?

easy way to tell is if it has "fins" on the bottom of it

Yeah, if it really is a 280/5 it should have the fins AND have a small intermediate section. See my attachment for what I mean. If it has fins but no third section it should be a 260/6. Odds are it's not a 280/5, as they are very rare. If it is: $$

If it has a removable bell-housing it's probably a 265/6 or 5.

I believe this is a 280/5

http://image.nettix.fi/extra/partimg/890901_891000/890938_b_467bb13918643bd1.jpg

and to my surprise, it also has fins like the 260/6.. but you can clearly see it has that extra section in the middle of it.

And yea.. it would be VERY rare indeed.. especially if found in a '87 635.. plus, wouldnt it have to use a different driveshaft than what would be used with a 260/6?

Yes, that should be a 280/5 seeker. The m5, m6 and m635 all use a drive-shaft that is not used in the non M cars. That should be because of the transmission (almost all M's used the 280/5 I believe) as the diff's are the same for M and non-M(dimension wise). But I wouldn't be surprised if it were possible to use a 265/5/6 or 260 drive shaft with a 280/5. Maybe with the use of a thicker or thinner guibo.

Looking for 3.64 diff as was found in the m30b35 powered cars. Not sure what yours has in it but I might be able to tell from the last 7 digits of the VIN.

If you click on the poster's forum name(handle) it will bring you to a menu and you can see "send an email message".
Upper right hand corner of the web page (Welcome area) under the logged in area, is the PM Private Messages link where you can track your messages.

I can't do either - checked settings and do not see where this is set to allow private messaging?

Are you signed up as a user and and logged in? Perhaps you have to have a certain amount of posts before you can use the PM feature. Not sure. You should be able to just click over each posters avatar name and see a drop down menu and see other areas like their profile of each poster too.

It should have rear AC being an 87. I need a heat shield that's bolted to the passenger side strut tower. It's a cover for the AC lines & blocks heat from the engine. 4 or 5 nuts hold it in place. Thanks

According to the VIN it is a 7/86 build which does not have the diff I am looking for but is listed as having a 260/6 trans.

Looking for both rear tail light lenses... are they in good shape? If so, I'll take 'em.
