Like many others, my metal sunroof is the only body panel on my car showing age. The clear coat is chipping and there is rust around the edges, even though it is a california car.

Will a Saab 9000 glass sunroof fit? According to Post #4 in this thread, it fits the E28.

Sounds like a great modification if it fits. Here's an auction with the dimensions.

Damn. Wonder if any other glass room from a different car would work?

No.

That's a actually good news. I have the saab kit and would have hated to find out after my roof was removed.

Saved me hours of frustration.

Thanks

I'm not sure I'd want a glass roof since there's no interior sliding panel to let the sun in even if the roof were glass.

I have an e23 with a factory glass roof and it has the interior sliding panel. I also have an e28 that has had a Saab panel installed. My plan is to switch the panels so I have the factory glass panel with interior slider in the e28. The BMW panel does fit and operate better than the Saab one.

I was thinking of putting a mirror type tint or something extremely dark. My buddy has a Firebird with glass T-Tops that he tinted heavily--even in the direct sun, very little light comes through. If I could find one with a sliding panel that fit though, it would be great--then I wouldn't have to tint it.

alpinacsi- So I guess the E23 panel only fits the E28 ?
