I've been repairing my sunroof headliner, following the directions from this link (http://normgrills.net/bcg/Body_Interior.html#anchor) on big coupe groupe. I've repaired the headliner, I have the sunroof in with the rear attachment point attached (3 nuts each side), and I have the sunroof headliner in the car, but I can't seem to get the snaps in the front to line up. The liner seems to be about 1" too far back for them to line up. I've tried several times with the sunroof in several positions with no luck.

Any tips? I've been doing this stuff long enough to know that if you have to force it, you're probably doing something wrong.

If the rear beam was out, perhaps it got turned around? I'm not sure if the attachment posts for the headliner "trailing arms" is symmetrically mounted on the beam.

I never pulled the rear beam out, I just detached the "trailing arms". Good thought, that would be about the right distance off if was turned around. It feels like something must be hitting in the back.
