so i've been having major bottoming out issues in front with my eibachs on my 535i.

installed my brand new vogtlands today and low and behold, i believe there may be a slight problem

eibach on the bottom obviously.

does anyone have measurements or a coil count on eibachs? i'm wondering if a previous owner at some point cut a FULL COIL off these springs to get a bigger drop.

Definitely cut. You can tell from the right side of the spring. Are you sure that’s Eibach and not stock spring cut? I have Eibach and looks much different.

they're eibach. u can make out the eibach label on the one thats not rusted out. the rears arent cut. just super stiff (again confirming they're eibach) and also have a label.

the funny thign is, they rode fine on my 1993 525iA (m50tu). put them on the 535i and they're just completely bottemed out. guess that extra 150lbs or w/e it is for the m30 was the threshold on these.

I cant see your spings @ work but Eibachs are a lighter shade of gunmetal gray.

these are a darker shade of peeling and surface rust.

but where the paint is sorta still on they do clean up to be a dark greyish color

edit: uploaded the pic as an attachment incase that makes it easier to see at work

That would be them but you already confirmed labels - trumps all!

yeah. does me no good now that i nkow they're cut.

i'm just gonna give them to the guy who bought my 93. already told him he could have em and since they at least worked on that car he said he might use em. not like i'd sell them to anyone knowing they're cut now.

it truly baffles me how well they rode on the 525i with only a supposed 150lb (ish) difference between the two cars.

How low did you car sit with these cut Eibachs? I have Eibachs with Koni Sport and love them.

it was at the bottom of the strut (see sig, keep in mind in the sig its in gear (but off) and being pushed from behind so its raised ever so slightly)

and here's how it looked on the 525i with eibach/billie sport
