Is this normal?

Fairly new to this Bimmer stuff - the question I have is this - I recnetly purchased a 95 525i and now that the weather is turning for the worse I found myself using the heathers for the 1st time this morning...well well well...all is dandy in the front of the car BUT the air blowing to the back of the vehicule from the vent located in the cosole between the 2 front seat is freezing cold no matter what I do - I tried every combination I could muster using the knobs and sliders located on the control panel But to no avail - - How do Iget warm air back there?

PS I do not have the user manual for the car - maybe i'm just missing something simple....like what does the right side round temperature control knob actually control? Or has there been some sort of mechanical failure which i need to remedy? All I know for sure is the kids are freezing back there.

It won't blow HOT air out ever, simply because its only for fresh air.

The rear heat is going to come out of the vents behind the front seats on the floor.

That center vent bypasses the whole heating system, so just close it for the winter.

by the way, drive the e34 hard, i cant drive my fathers e34s, but i sure love riding in em...

Not to worry its being driven hard alright - as soon as the kids get dropped off every morning that car loses its 'Bus' status and resumes the life it was meant to live.
