Well my friend is coming to pick up my beautiful 1995 M3 tonight (*sniff* *sniff*). I really need a four door car so the M3 had to go. I am pretty much set on buying a 540 six speed but was curious as to the differences between the 2000's and 2001's. I want to spend around $35k which will either get me a low mileage 2000 (with warranty) or a higher mile 2001 (without warranty but with angel eyes). Besides the SLIGHT cosmetic differences is there anything else different between the two? Thanks everyone!

The cosmetic upgrades done to the 2001 would cost between $1000 and $1500 if you were to upgrade the 2000 model. Just something to keep in mind pricewise, because many people end up buying the newer front and rear lights.
