The easy answer: If fuel injection rated HOSE and hose clamps is good enough elsewhere on the car (to & from fuel filter, fuel rail, injectors, etc), why not just use fuel injection hose to match up the two cut ends after you cut out the leaking portion? Maybe use two hose clamps at each end for security if you don't want fuel leaking onto a hot exhaust system?

Given where you are why not call George at Bavarian Auto Recycling as they have many e24's they are dismantling and perhaps you may find lightly used replacement there?

He'd have to flare the ends, too, so the hose would grip the hardlines under the pressure--but I guess that's a given.

Flexible fuel line to replace hardline, is a kluge fix. more baiing wire. $50 new at dealer OR go on Ebay BMW 635 parts and find a guy there "IVCurves" He is totally reputable guy and will have what you want. he is in the San fernando valley. Your problem will be shipping a piece that long. When all is said and done, the dealer may be best option here.

You can buy the hard lines new from BMW for cheap. Might take a little while to get them from Germany but they will expedite the shipping for you if you are willing to pay.

www.realoem.com will help you find the part numbers.

Don't mess with fuel lines. Just go to any reputable shop and they'll custom bend, flare and install new ones.
