Guys,
are any of you running without an air pump? Mine is completely gone and two of the three rubber mounting bolts are broken. Does it really mater if I just delete it and plug the pipe running into the engine.
Also, does anyone have one working they would like to donate or let go for cheap?
Thanks

Car will just pollute more without it, might be an issue if you have emissions tests in your area. Have a good/used working one if you want to go that route, PM me.

I don't know how it would react on these cars, but I deleted mine on my 1.8t VW, and I just needed to block the hoses at the block and then use a certain resistor on the sensors so it didn't trip a CEL. I'm guessing it would be pretty much the same for these cars, just no personal exp.

It only runs for a short bit on cold starts. So it won't be effecting your trip to the emissions testing station as the car won't be cold when they test it.
The M5 guys delete them rather frequently. If you don't mind slight bit more polluting for a short bit on cold starts I see no reason to pull it and block off the pipe.

The small rubber mounts can be bought frrom AutohausAZ very cheap like a buck a piece or so. I changed all of them in mine and left it there but honestly I've never heard it running but since I don't get any CEL I haven't messed with it.
