Have you tried the gang up at Euro Depot in concord?
They have access to cars up in Canada that most likely have what you are looking for...

just get some rubber tubing from a local hardware store. cut a slit in it and put it on the metal.

Can you tell any difference in interior noise with it punched out?

I'm assuming you're asking about stereo interior noise?

If you punch out the ski hole, and put down the arm rest, you can tell the difference. of course it depends on speaker placement, front or rear facing.

i had mine punched out in my e32. Helped the sound from my subs penetrate into the cabin.

i used rubber tube and cut in a slit to put over the edges as was mentioned already.
