The owner of this Jetta just acquired this guy up and wanted her all cleaned up. It seriously looked like it sat in the desert/sun for quite some time. There were some sections that were severely oxidized, primarily around the door handles. Here's what it looked like before the wash. Lucky for me both of my remote's batteries were dead so I have a gap in my pictures. So I had to go out to the store and grab some more.

This was the first round of extraction, nice results and I'd freak if that crap was in my carpet and mats.

I ran into a little microfiber problem, as you'll see in most of the after pictures. The tiny specs that look like imperfections/scratches are really lint from my towels. I was driven crazy trying to remove them. One towel, after wiping down the panels, would leave so much lint behind that I would have to get a clean towel just to remove them. Really frustrating, to say the least.

I took measurements of the paint before I started to polish. The average range was from 110 to 130 microns. There was one spot in the trunk that had below 100 microns, but that was in an area where some heavy RID were.

That is no joke.

You brought that car back from the dead.

I keep my cars in pretty good shape, but I'm this close to driving to Arizona from NJ to have you detail them...

Questions-

-How long did that entire car take you to detail?

-Can you recommend to me anyone in Central New Jersey that can detail to your caliber? if so PM me...

-Lovin' the "Petrucci" handle...he is one of my favorite guitarists. His EBMM sig guitar is off the hook. I have one of the BFR models.:buttrock

Do you use an air gun or air compressor? That has always helped. Just blow it off in the last stage.

Thank you for the kind words man, I appreciate that!

-This one took me three days in total.
-I know of some people in New Jersey, but I know they are pricey. But they'd be the only people I trust to touch my personal car.

Petrucci will always be my guitar hero and favorite guitarist. Everything he plays is so hard to put into words, on the way I hear it. It's simple an art to me. Very nice on the BFR model! I want so bad, I have a 7 String Carbon Blue JP Ernie Ball, fully loaded. First purchase I made when I was sixteen. Best guitar I have ever played. Yeah I'm probably biased haha.

To get the dust off or lint? The lint is statically charged, and I've made some changes to way I wash my MF's so it will no longer be a nuisance hehe.
