Just wanted to share. I thought it was funny that my son wanted to build his derby-car into dad's 6er :D Its too bad he couldn't race it (he got sick). Start 'em young huh? He's going to want a car of his own one of these days, hopefully he'll leave mine alone:rolleyes.

Good job! You might look on Ebay, often times I see kit cars that are 6ers. You could get him a present of his very own 6er and help him put it together.

That's awesome - I think it'll influence his taste for a long time. I'd be curious to see how the shark nose would've done in what is mainly a test of aerodynamics.
When I was a Scout I built a Ferrari Testarossa - my dream car then and now. It smoked ALL the opposition! :)

hahaha, thats pretty sweet, sorry to hear he didnt get to race it.
thats alot better then my first attempt at a derby car (green) i think i was in about 3rd grade when i made that, the blue with the silver flames was for a project in my trans processes class. needless to say my blue car won on race day ;)
i managed to get the car to weigh exactly 200 grams, until one of the decals came off, it dropped down to 199.4 :(

Carl,
That's awesome! I love it. Maybe he'll be as into them as you are when he gets older.
My son is 5 and I already have dreams of tackling a father-son car project together.
