I paid 640 for sports for my M3 a couple months ago. This is a great deal.

Some of these products are going out of stock very fast and have to be ordered from Koni in Holland. When something like this occurs we do our best to inform the customer of the arrival date of the product or if there are any issues on Konis end of the supply chain. All sales of Koni parts are not actually charged until the product is shipped. If you were to order a part that is or has become backordered, you will be assured one coming in on the soonest delivery. The prices listed are effective from Feb 1st to June 30th. I'm sorry if anyone has had any issues with this sale or stocking issues. But if anyone wishes, they can send me a PM and I'll do everything I can do to find out what happened and what the possible options are.

This is false on many levels, so don't buy into this. This individual did in fact purchase a set of coilovers at a price lower than what we had changed our post to. We changed our post because KONI issued a price update a week AFTER the sale started. Even still, we told this individual we would honor the price we charged him, not the new price, and this was explained over the phone to this individual.

As for not being able to deliver the item, we can ship items from both our warehouse and KONI's warehouse. Now, I have no way of knowing KONI's inventory aside from calling them. Due to this sale, their inventory is taking a big hit, and is changing rapidly. For this individuals order we were out of stock on the part, and KONI was as well. However, they had informed us the part may be discontinued but couldn't be sure. Unfortunately, despite repeated calls into KONI, it took them about a week to get back to me and inform me it is in fact discontinued. I had spoken to him a few times on the phone and explained all of this to him.

This is of course why the customer received the refund yesterday. I had contacted the number on his order, but it was not his number, but a family member, to which I explained the entire situation.

Despite repeated explanations to this individual, on the phone, he must not have been listening or is just trying to act like he was never informed of anything, in an attempt to make us look like a shady vendor.

As many of you who have ordered from us know, we will keep you informed in the event an item is unavailable for an extended period of time. To be safe, we are estimating most KONI orders will ship within about a week, either from us or KONI. We are placing regular orders to have most popular items in stock at our location, but even those are taking time to get in because KONI is so busy right now.

here is the warranty explanation copy/paste from Koni site

PASSENGER CAR, LIGHT TRUCK, MOTORHOME & MOTORCYCLE KONI Inc. warrants all new KONI shock absorbers (purchased after 5/1/80) and suspension kits (purchased after 1995) to the original retail purchaser against defects in material and workmanship, excluding mounting rubbers, washers and bushings, when used under normal operating conditions for as long as such purchaser owns the vehicle on which the KONI shock absorbers were originally installed. This warranty does not apply to, and KONI makes no warranty for, shock absorbers and suspension kits that have been modified or installed;


Improperly;
• As original equipment on any vehicle except Ford Mustang SVO;


• On any vehicle that has been modified for a use other than or in addition to its originally intended use;


• For an application that is not specified in the KONI literature;


• On any vehicle that has been used off-road, for racing or for any other driving competition.

You are in the same boat that I am. 540 sedan suspension on the front is the same as ours . Rear is a whole different thing. I have been thinking about calling Koni and requesting only the fronts and lower the back at the dealer.

any feedback on the STR.T shocks with lowering springs? Thinking of dropping the daily driver ('01 330i) a bit but don't want a rough ride.

The STR.T aren't as stiff as the yellows are, but they are more stiff than the OEM shocks are. I haven't heard anything first hand from any of our customers unfortunately. I would check around the forums and see if anyone is running the same set up that you are considering.

So far there is no news on a kit being developed. Its possible that because the FSD are auto-adjusting, they aren't able to get them to be more aggressive than the stock system. But, unfortunately Koni is closed for the rest of the week so I can't call and get a definite answer for you until next week

Thank you for the reply. Yeah, I've done enough searches related to 'daily driver e46 m3 suspension' and there isn't anything convincingly daily driver to me other than the FSDs. I'm really looking for an improvement in ride quality first, and handling can stay as it is. When I read about the FSDs, it was exactly what I wanted - better absorption of bumps (DC roads are the worst, I don't know where my taxes go), while improving the handling (track time proven).

I dont track my car yet, but I likely will start in the coming year. The fear I have when reading people's reviews of how daily driver something is - its the same way I felt when reading people's review of how light a % of tint is. One guy says 20% is too dark, the other says too light - in the end you just have to see it for yourself. Insights into what would work for ride quality would be great.

If the answer is really nothing, then my second best pick is to lower it while maintaining the ride quality. If it cant get better, then I'll find benefits elsewhere while holding that constant. Any ideas?

If Koni wants a car for some FSD trials, tell them you know someone who would be interested. :D
