error message

ok so im going from my oem wheels (17s) to aftermarket wheels (19s) and when i went to put them on and after driving around for about 5 minutes i get a error message in the dash, a red (!)... would i need to go and order a set of tpms? cause i think ive hear people say thats why im getting that error because its not reading the sensors in the new wheels... btw this is on an 06' 325i... please someone help so i dont go and get somethin wrong

I assume you have an MY06 car. Those cars have the older FTM system if I am not mistaken which means they use the ABS sensors to detect a flat and don't have dedicated sensors in the wheels (TPMS). In that case, all you need to do is reset the FTM from your menu and you'll be all set.

i tried to reset it with the new wheels on and nothing but when i put the oem wheels back on and reset it... everything went back to normal... so what is this thing called that i can go buy to put in my aftermarket wheels??? or is there a website i can get them from other than the dealership
