Just bought the SIRIUS car tuner to go along with the Alpine Sirius Connect.
My head unit is an Alpine ida-x100. Any ideas where to run the wires, mount the antenna, and where to tap the power?

I did this but its all Kenwood. My Sirius box is under the rear seat, with wires run under the console between the front seats and then under the carpet. Drilled a hole at the bottom of the rear-seat vertical bulkhead. Power came off the radio head unit; no other power was required. Antenna goes out through the rear seatback into the trunk, and the antenna is on the forward edge of the trunk lid.
I also operate a ham radio unit, so this stero install was done at the same time as a remote mount UHF/VHF radio went in the first-aid-kit position under the driver's seat, and a head unit forward of the shifter. Coax followed the Sirius cable out the rear and a big ugly dual-band antenna sits on the trunk lid next to the Sirius puck.

meh, mine was much more straightforward of an install than that.
the external tuner I have hidden near the interior cabin air filter,
just stuffed it in the panel to the left of the passenger foot compartment.
as for as the antenna, it rests (via velcro) on the third brake light,
sitting in the interior of the car with wires run down the passengerside.
this preserves the outwardly appearance of the E34 and reception is great!

^ that is where installed my Sirius modules.
I've had sat radio for 5 years now and could not live without it.

Under the back seat for me. Grabbed power from the factory cellular phone wiring which is fused power from the battery. I also ran the data cable under the center console/carpet, but you don't have to drill a hole. Towards the bottom by the trans tunnel there is an opening you can run the cables to under the back seat area. Antenna is also on the rear deck, inside the car. On cloudy days it sometimes cuts out for a split second after passing through overpasses.
