328i 5 speed transmission in M50 525i?

Would there be any issues bolting this transmission up?
I have a lead on a reasonab ly priced on for my swap.

Nope, bolts right up. I am running one from a 328 right now. Only "issue" you will see is that the stock E34 ZF310 uses a center support mount that goes near the junction of the engine and trans. E36's do not use this mount, thus they do not have holes to mount this mount that the E34 uses. So you will need to leave it out. Nothing will happen as the E36 does not use one and it is the same engine setup.

P.S. Forgot to mention that the E36's use a shorter T connector on the transmission selector shaft in comparison to the E34. If you don't change it, the shifter will hit the center consol in 2nd and 4th. This is a $10 part from Pelican, and changing it takes about 5 minutes.

No problem. The 328 trans, aka ZF320 will need the shifter, driveshaft, and crossmember from a ZF E34.

No, it is not wide enough. I have an E36 crossmember that I compared to the E34 one and you would need to modify a mounting hole on it to get it to mount up. Let me know if you need it if you don't find a proper one.
