530 vs 540 Radiator Confusion...

i apologize if this has been covered, but i couldn't find anything definative...

realoem shows diffrent part numbers for the 530 and 540 radiators. found some vendors online by googling p/n 17111702453 and some sites show it is a 540 only radiator, others show it is for a 530 only.

what's the diffrence?

I remember reading something like the 540i radiator is a little thicker. But a 540i radiator will fit fine as I am using one on my 540it/6 formerly a 530it. The 530it came to my house without an engine nor a radiator I used that on the wrecked 540i during the transplant.

other than a c-note, what's the difference in a BEHR/Nissen vs this radiator:

also, anyone want to debate the merits of BMW antifreeze vs another phosphate free brand, such as Zerex G-05? i'll moderate :)
