So far:

JVC stereo with iPod hook up to replace the empty hole in my dash..
New battery
Door lock actuator
Tow Hook Covers
Mirror Glass on the drivers side
ZHP shift knob to replace the broken piece of s*** :stickoutt

Next week:

Valve adjustment
Tune up
Hopefully won't need spark plug wires
UUC Transmission mounts
New Exhaust mounts
Clutch master cylinder (which is approx. $100 more for an m5 than for other e34's)/Slave cylinder

Still need:

Find out why my damn heater isn't working
Drivers side door sill plastic that holds the carpet down in gray
Paint for the new tow hook covers
Get rid of the damn rock chips on the front end.
To put my throwing star wheel covers on the right way :shifty

I know I am forgetting some stuff. Can't wait till all of this stuff is said and done so I can get to the fun stuff (SLS delete, H&R Springs, Bilstein Sports, Software, M Parallels? Short Shifter?) I am broke.

Anyone know the specific tool needed to remove the covers from my wheels by any chance? I know it is a triple square, don't know the exact size..

So you're broke. And you an E34 M5? Not a good combo; will not end well.

Well I am broke besides the money I put aside for the car when I bought it..

Funny that this thread is right next to the "How much is TOO much" thread, or whatever it is titled.

What's your running total of parts since you bought it?

Not even sure, don't have my receipts on me. Probably be about $1500 into the car after next week. Sonoma huh? I am in Petaluma.

How can you stand the smell?

We just finished up our e34 meet on January 2nd, sorry you missed it. When did you buy the car, and from where?

How can you live without that smell? ;)

Bought it off a guy on Craigslist about two months ago. I knew some maintenance would be necessary when I bought it. The meet sounded fun, but I was busy around New Years. I'll have to catch the next one.

Sigh, can't see the pictures at work. They block photobucket, flickr, etc.
Is your clutch pedal really stiff? The only one I've driven the clutch felt like it came off a truck.

Yeah I am used to it now, but it's stiff. Well actually, it's just kind of mushy right now because there is air in the system..

Miles?

Approx. 100k on the motor, 20k on a new clutch and waterpump? Like I said earlier, I don't have the paper work with me. The car was inspected when I bought it and is in good shape mechanically.

12 point 12mmThis is incorrect. You need a 6mm triple square. I just separated mine two weekends ago.

What a terrible car, it's going to blow up in 4 miles. The only solution is to give it to me.

:) amazing looking m5.

Look up Greg (has #001 m5t ever made) and Saliya (euromcars.com), they know the e34 m5's inside and out and can help you out immensely. Post more pics.

Where could one get those door handles?

And yeah, all e34's require money to own, even if it aint broken you always wanna upgrade to something that is better than what you already got! :)

Just be glad that you don't need a radiator. Mine has a small leak and the best price I've found so far is $570.

I can get them for 250$ all day from IMC. Behr or Nissen; I forget the company.

$250 for an M5 radiator? Never heard of IMC, do you have a link? The part number is 17112226336. I would buy a Behr radiator, but not Nissens.

It's a company we have an account through at work.Let me call my work and see if I can get one of them to look it up

Says special order and it's a Behr. I'll call IMC tomorrow when I'm working and see what I can do.
