I am currently looking for an OEM factory BMW CD player for my 84 733i. Being an 84 it does not have a CD player and im looking to replace it with an original looking head unit. The car is a classic creampuff and I want to keep it that way. If anyone has put an aftermarket deck in their car and has a OEM CD deck lying around I will pay a fair price plus shipping. Oh yeah it needs to be a single din to fit. Pictures would be awesome. Any feedback would be sweet pictures can go to my email audishiter@yahoo.com (i know the email address is wack its old) Thanks:redspot:redspot

I am not sure if they ever made cd players for the E23, if that's what your asking. Your post is a little confusing.

The only OEM single-DIN, in-dash CD player BMW has ever used (that I've found, anyway) is the CD43. They usually go for 200-300 used. Even then, I do not think it will work with the E23 setup without some form of harness converter.

Ive done my research any single din BMW CD player will work as long as I order the 17 pin BMW Harness and the antenna adapter. Although it cannot be a Harmon Kardon or BOSE because my car is setup without such sound systems.... whats so confusing???

BMW Traffic Pro 4771. Also an indash CD/Single Din. MUCH better audio quality vs CD43 (personal experience).

There also was an earlier version of the CD43 with different placement of the buttons then most often seen. Not sure how its audio quality compares (never used it)

I have not seen a traffic pro for sale in more than 4 years. Granted, I haven't been looking, but that is a much harder unit to find, in my experience.

I bought two brand new in the last 3 years, and have seen at least 3x that many up for sale in that time...

Generally $400-450 used, complete.
$500-600 new, complete. I think a few are still available new. (Or were last I checked a few months ago)

Partial (No Nav disks/antennae/etc) I saw sell for $350 once.
