SOLD!!!!

Mods, please leave this thread up here for a bit, as I am sure the FI section is a better target audience for selling this kit.

It’s official; I am a boost junkie & want more power. I am going turbo, and my RMS Stage 2+++ kit is up for sale! I will NOT part it out. Put your tax refund to work for you. I have at least $6500 into this kit in parts. I will be asking $3900 for the entire kit. Paypal payments will have to add the 3% fee (or whatever it is).

Folks, this is a plug and play kit for an s50 95 ///M3. The AA tune (506 DME) is absolutely excellent. Refer to the dyno sheet for the near perfect A/F ratios. I paid quite a bit for the tuning alone, but it was worth every penny. I need to talk to Marco to find out what other applications this tune will work with (ie: 413 dme). Please keep in mind that the kit was only installed on my car for 8 months (less than 5000 miles of use), the blower was recently rebuilt (less than 7000 miles ago), and everything is in like new condition. I had a VF-E kit on the car before this, which explains the difference in the blower mileage versus the RMS kit mileage, and why I have a polished blower & VF-E silicone.

All components were spec'd by Marco, and no expense was spared in building this kit. I spent a few months gathering the parts. This is an 8 rib setup, so there will be zero belt slip issues. It’s easily upgradeable, includes tons of extras. The most important thing is that the legwork has already been done. By that, I mean that all of the pain in the A$$ fitments issues have been figured out. I paid a lot of money to my installer for getting everything fitted properly. Reliability was paramount for me. The kit fits perfectly in the car, and you won't find a better setup, not even from RMS directly.

With this kit, you could easily make 400whp on a dynojet (Whp / boost numbers are estimated, and will vary from car to car as well as depend on the condition of the motor). Add schrick cams, and you'll be in the 420whp range, and yes, the tune does support cams. I have a dyno sheet from when the kit was freshly installed, running 11psi on maximum psi's new mustang dyno. Mike Radowski drove, & the car made 355whp. I'm sure you know that a mustang dyno reads much lower than a dynojet. To give you an idea of what I mean, I made 300whp on a dynojet with the VF-E kit installed running 7psi.

I might be keeping the injectors and Porsche 803 HFM/MAF for my turbo setup, but I am not sure of that. If I do keep them, I will take $400 off the price. The kit is still installed on my car, and my car is at Don’s house (dcvee), as he will be building the custom turbo kit for me. Don was nice enough to offer to take pictures of the uninstall. He also offered to give anybody interested a quote for installation of the kit. Don is in the Harrisburg, PA area.

Any questions about the kit itself, installation, etc. can be easily answered by myself, Don or Marco. Don can have the kit removed in about 2 days, and shipped out in about a week. I asked him to keep all of the parts together (nuts, bolts, spacers, etc) so it will be very easy for the next person to install the kit. I also have installation directions from RMS, which are not very good. I think Don’s pictorial will be much more helpful. Everything will be cleaned up so it’s shiny like new before it’s shipped. I can provide links to the products that were used, if anyone wants to verify pricing or look up specs. I will work with the buyer on shipping costs. Pickup is welcome, and Don said you can go view the kit at his house.

Here is a mostly complete list of everything the kit comes with:

hyperboost hx compact bypass valve (aluminum)
RMS aftercooler (tapped for WI)

Yeah, build thread will be started for sure. However, I don't expect to get the turbo project started for at least a month or two. I need to get this kit sold so I have cash to begin the project.

What pulley were you running when you made 355whp?

I was running the 3.33" pulley at 11psi. That's the dyno sheet I have posted on photobucket. I went to maximum psi about a week or 2 after the kit was installed on my car.

If you were making 11psi with the 3.33 I think you most likely have a 6" crank and not a 6.5".

Trust me, it's a 6.5" crank pulley made for me by buldogge. You can feel free to ask him. Or maybe Don can take a picture of it next to a tape measurer.

My car flows very well. I have the HIOP headers, AA track pipe (no cats), and AA gen 3 high flow exhaust. If you were to use the 3.33" pulley with a more restrictive exhaust system, you would make more boost.

By the way, are you interested in purchasing the kit? If so, please give me a call.

GLWS...
this kit is Marco approved:buttrock

It comes with a very rare tune( and more expensive) by Karl for 42 lb injectors and 803 HFM and up to ~ 13 lb boost.... for OBD1....
another customer made 425 with this same setup on his OBD1 3.2.....
This tune will work on anyone 413 or 506 DME....if 413 silver, the EWS wire would need to be cut..that is all

very nice setup

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Marco, thanks very much for that info on the DME compatibility...that is great news. This opens up the sale to a larger group. Marco, what about engines? Can this tune / kit work with the m50 engine? Say for an e36 325i? Or is is strictly for s50 / s52 obd1 engines?

I just wanted to add, for anyone who is thinking that my asking price is too high, here's a link to the RMS stage 2 kit on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-RMS-E36-M3-ST-2-SUPERCHARGER-KIT-VORTECH-DIST_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3a56648e2fQQitemZ2 50557533743QQptZRaceQ5fCarQ5fParts
That's $6000 for a kit that you might not ever receive. Remember, my kit is better than this, makes more power, has a WI kit, better IAT cooling due to the higher flow Jabsco water pump and FMHE, and the AA tune won't blow up your engine like the RMS one will. Just some food for thought.

The dyno graph doesn't like. Ask the guy who ran it... Please let's keep this thread on topic. I am trying to sell my kit. Unless you are interested in buying, or have something "useful" to contribute, please don't post. I did not post this thread so people could get their post counts up.

Wow, great kit up for sale. I'm starting to wish I had an S50 under the hood. :P Anyway, GLWS, man.

Bavarian Love: What exactly do you plan on achieving by trying to discredit the OP? He has no reason to lie and, furthermore, has several people supporting his claims..

I agree with those who think the boost is low for a V2 S Trim spinning 49,000 rpm on an S50 with stock cams and a full but small exhaust. The power is low, too, at 355 rwhp on a Mustang (maybe 375 rwhp on a Dynojet).

As for the OP's requests that no one post unless they want to buy, this is not the For Sale forum. This is a regular forum where full discussion and questioning and commenting is allowed.

Still, it is a good group of parts that probably has more potential than the OP got from them. With further investment, it has considerable potential -- rebuild the S Trim into an Si or T Trim, add Shrick cams, and it would be great. Obviously, the exhaust parts that are being sold separately would be needed for a good system, but I would go a step further and use Euro Supersprint sized piping rather than US sized piping for a great system.

1+ power seems very low for maxing out the S-trim, based on other cars with similar mods.

Nobody is discrediting, just trying to understand why the numbers do not match up with mods.

OP did you ever run the smaller blower pulley? If so, how much boost did you make with that? Good luck with your sale!

Hey guys, thanks for the comments and insight. I never ran a smaller pulley than the 3.33". I have the 3.15 pulley for sale, as I wanted to max out the blower with that. I just never had it installed. Phillip is correct in saying that the kit has a lot more potential with cams, RMS type long tube headers, and for sure a T-trim / Si-trim. These are all things that the buyer could purchase to make huge power with this kit. I can't explain why I only made 11 psi on the dyno. It could be that the motor in my car was tired at 100k+ miles, maybe I had a boost leak, but I'll never know for sure. I am doing a full motor build for the turbo setup, and I am not sure of how far along Don has gotten with that. Just to be clear guys, I am not saying that I don't welcome comments, but I know what is / was installed on my car, the pulley size, the psi reported by the mustang dyno and the hp it produced. I put a ton of work into this kit, as did Marco, and other helpful members, and I want it to go to someone who's going to use it to its full potential. This kit consists of nearly new parts that will last for quite a while. The next owner will be pleased, for sure.

Not sure if a tired motor would affect the boost. But to compare I run a 6.3 in crank pulley and 3.33 SC. I see a max or 12.5lbs and my motor flows very well....

So the future owner may be able to install and have a few extra pounds of boost and a bit more HP than you had right out of the box.

I am guessing that I had a boost leak. I did have ICV, TPS problems and I wouldn't be surprised if the turkey neck was leaking. I did have the intake manifold off the car many months after the dyno to replace the ICV and the o-rings on the manifold were all dry rotted. I had them replaced and the car felt stronger & ran way better. I did see higher boost numbers as well (12-13psi) on my AEM gauge. I just never took the car back to the dyno, as I was pleased with how it was running.

either way 355whp on a mustang dyno is impressive without cams. I made 388whp with cams on a dynojet(with 39lbs injectors 540hfm) which on a mustang dyno would have been something like 368whp, or less.
