hello,

so, i picked up this doo-dad on ebay and was wanting to paint the trim on it to match my parchment interior.

i did a search and bin pointed someone to SEM Color Coat. they have a color key here:

http://www.semproducts.com/images/Users/Chip%20Cards/VCS%20CC%202008.pdf

of course, it's impossible to match that with my interior.

i was wondering if anyone has done this before and can tell me which color is the closest match. or, if you have used something else that works well, let me know that too.

gracias

Some unrequested advice: keep it black. It will match the dash. Painting it parchment could only turn out badly.

+1 on tandemracer's suggestion. I have the SEM color chart and none of their colors match the parchment 100%... at least not to my eyes.

i hear that, but my car has the dark tan dash, not black. i'll do a test fit when it comes in and see how i like it.

thanks guys.

There is lots of black plastic on your dash - the heater control panel, radio, OBC, shifter panel. Trust me, the black will look better than a rattle-can painted mess.

Call your local Automotive paint jobber's... one of them should be able to match your color.

I can make you a can for 30 bucks if you mail me a piece to match too. I make between 1-10 custom mixes a day.

Ok flame suit on but I have to ask. What is this part, where does it go and what function does it perform?

This is a storage tray that sits in front of the gear selector knob to give you some little compartments for important things like sunglasses and tasers.
