Armrest Replaced on 03 Mini

I bought an aftermarket excellent Mini Cooper armrest for my 03, with storage compartment, and it fits quite well, looks great. Problem is that now the OEM armrest is out and I have two holes next to the emergency brake....duct tape sounds (and is) tacky, so there hopefully is something made to plug up those holes.

I have pictures but can't paste here.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I wonder of the floor mat hold-down plates that screw into the carpet would cover the holes and not be too much of an eyesore.

i would try a dab of black silicone.
if that is the color... or just leave the philips head screws in
