Is there any benefit to these over stock other than what they are made out of?
three is a set of decent ones on my M5 that i will end up pulling. I need to do my tie rod ends anyway so while I'm down there i can do these as well.
also, can i order poly bushing to be pressed into these?

I don't think any control arms have failed due to rust.

I didn't think so either, but it might 10 years from now. But I guess it shouldn't have the same arms on it ten years from now either. Pay no mind to me.

I put them on my car, I got powerflex bushings for them. No pressing in, just two pieces and two metal plates.

Ha, I pulled a set of 15 year original arms from my car a few weeks ago and I will agree, they were in there wayyyy to long. But they were still solid as a rock.
Anyways, question about the arms. I hear a lot about the aluminum ones, but my lowers were aluminum already. Are we only talking about the uppers?

I bought them at bimmerzone though, at the time (about a year ago) they were the cheapest I could find for them.

No, 540's came with aluminum lowers, other models didn't.
