89 535i Hesitation upon start up

I have an 89 535i that has a hesitation when started.
It doesn't matter if it is cold or warm outside. it does not matter if the vehicles engine is warm or cold.

it only lasts for about 3 minutes or so then it runs fine.

Any thoughts?

headgasket maybe gone, leaking coolant into cylinder chamber, causing that cylinder to misfire until the water is cleared and it can spark properly again

check for coolant loss, or do a cooling system pressure test to see if you lose pressure without visible leaks

check fuel system pressure when the car has been sitting for a while. most likely is a shot fuel pressure regulator, or you need to in stall a check valve inline with the fuel line. If it does it on and off I would pull the injectors and have them checked out or replaced.

it has a brand new head/ head gasket.
I will check out the fuel pressure.
If it was the pressure wouldnt it do it all the time and not just upon start up?
