4:30 PM on Saturday and my wife and I are in the car planning to go
visit our firends.. Turn the key and I hear starter turning but car
doesn't start! Checked the battery, fuses and other stuff and found
no problems there.. Just as I was ready to call for a tow truck, a
friend of mine that is a BMW mechanic pulls in and after some
investigation determins that the issue is failed fuel pump - he sad
that the fuel relay is OK but fuel pump should make a buzzing noise
when the egnition is ON and mine doesn't.. He said that at 105k mi
it's somewhat possible that OEM electric pump could go.. He could
help me replacing it as it's not hard of a process.
Anyway, I searched high and low but every BMW shop is closed and I
won't be able to find one until Monday the earliest! Unless fellow
BMW owner in MA has one. :)
If you have a fuel pump or know of someone, please let me know. My
cell is 508.333.6263.
TIA,

Dimitri

Sorry to be off topic, my fuel pump made weird whirring noises before it died on me. Was yours making those noises?
