I have a set of 18x8 and 18x9 lm reps and I want the right tires for them. Tire rack reccomends 225/40/18 fronts and 245/35/18 rears. Last time I went with tire racks reccomendations the tires were lightly stretched. I want little to no stretch this time to help preserve the lips. but I don't want too much meat since I don't have enough power to push a lot of meat. should i stick with those sizes or would another size fit better without any stretch?

for 8's do a 245 and the 9's a 265. I know there used to be a offset calculator to tell you how much more it will stick out more....it was sponsored by wheeldude

You won't fit 265's on a 9" wheel without fender modification.

i do plan on rolling the fenders. However, maybe it's just me but 265 sounds really meaty for a little 3 series. Anyone have pics of 265's on a three? also would a 265 be the only way to not have a stretched tire or is that my only option?

The guys with serious forced induction use 265s. It's entirely unnecessary for a relatively stock 3er. Pretty sure you could run 245s on a 9" without too much of a stretch, but different brands/models have different widths even thought they're the same size.

For reference, the stock rears on staggered M3 setups are 245/40 on an 8.5 inch 17" wheel. I have 235/40s and there is no real stretch so I don't think an extra 1/2" will stretch out the 245s any noticeable amount.
