Tire pressure?

Hey guys, quick question. This may sound ridiculous. I just bought the 2007 335xi a few months ago. I got an tire pressure warning. So I go to the gas station and remove the caps off of my tires. The tire pressure inflater would not fit onto the valve of my tire.

I've never owned a bmw before. Does the tire pressure need to be adjusted by the dealer by some special adapter?

This seems odd, perhaps the unit I was using was defective. Some insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this topic which is making me think that the tire pressure unit I was using was defective.

You should not need anything special. As far as I know, valve stems are universal. Did you try another place? Also did you use a gauge to check the pressure before putting some more air? If that worked then it is not your valves.

Thanks, I'm going to try another place. If that doesn't work, I'm going to go to my dealer, I need my car inspected anyways.
