Some would say I have a short fuse. Not sure I'd argue with that but I tend to take a while before I have a sense of whether I like something new or not.

The more I drive on my new tires the more I like them. I've got about 150 freeway miles and maybe 50-100 city miles on them. I keep noticing subtle things like how they feel firm and planted but not harsh when I go over cracks in the road or severe bumps. How they feel when entering a driveway at an angle.

Before = OE Bridgestone RFTs in the standard 17" sizes.

After = Bridgestone RE760 Sports in 235/40-18 and 265-35/18.

These things feel like they want a ride on a road course :devillook

The wider tires definitely have a lot to do with the road holding. Even sticking with RFT, going from 225 to 255 in the back gave me a huge improvement in hugging the road in corners. The 265 would definitely feel even better. Not sure how the RE760 compare to the RE050 in terms of traction, but the difference in compound could have a great influence too.

P.S. What is your backup plan in case of a flat?

I purchased the E60/61 spare tire kit from Tischer. I'm waiting on a cover from ebay. I'll add pics later. I have an idea for a little "custom" piece.

custom piece for what? storage? How much space is it taking away from your trunk?
