Located in northern va.

These are FORGED M-Systems I.

Wheels are overall in good shape, with wear and some scratching as expected of 20 year old wheels. They came off my '91 M5.

Theyre straight with no bends. The black paint on the spokes is showing its age.

Magnesium turbine covers included complete with center caps. Very cool as theyre designed to suck air through your brakes. These are in beautiful condition with only a few VERY small chips on each wheel, probably about 1 mm in diameter at the worst. Clear coat is quite shiny...they'd look brand new if it weren't for those few small rock chips.

The roundel in the center cap is a yellowish gold color, not sure if that's how they came from the factory or if it's just age. Easy enough to change if you don't like the look.

Local pickup preferable, shipping can be arranged if necessary though.

Looking to get 850.

edit: PICTURES, YAAAAY:

The damage to the clearcoat (im assuming from brakedust and lack of proper care) is visible in these. I wiped the wheels down with water just to make sure the only thing you all are seeing is the actual damage. There are some blemishes and scratches from curbs around the lip, most of these should be visible. The lighting does make some of the bad parts look a good bit worse than they actually are, so take that into account.

As you can see, the turbine covers are in beautiful shape. Most of the small (< 1mm wide) chips and whatnot are visible in these if you look closely:

In all, the wheels themselves (not the turbine covers) look good up until about 10 feet away when some of the blemishes begin to become visible. At 5 feet you can see them clearly. They still look great though, and would make GREAT-looking budget wheels for a DD as is.

I've seen these painted/powdercoated in both matte and gloss white before, turbine covers and lips, and it looks amazing. I know a guy that does powdercoating and painting, a good friend, and will be able to get a good deal on good work with him. Let me know if you'd like me to take care of this for you and I'd be happy to have it done.

Do you have the turbine or throwing star covers? I know the throwing stars are magnesium but, I've never been up close and personal with the turbines.

Its actually the turbines that are magnesium. Not sure if the throwing stars are, but i dont think they are.

I know these are 17" wheels, but is this a staggered set, and what's the ET and width?

Would you consider partial trades for style 5's. I also dont really care for the turbines so you could sell them seperate. Let me know..

quite alright. I WILL, if it comes down to it, separate the wheels and the turbine covers. The turbine covers, especially in such good condition, go for a good wad of cash, so just buying the wheels alone will save you some cash. I'll get back to you on a price, maybe that'll be within your price range :D

Pretty interested... If you can pack them nicely I can send UPS shipping labels. The lips are polished, yes? They look like it but I just want to make sure it's not super silver looking paint.

Are these all 8"?

IAmCman

all are 8". lips aren't polished, more like machined and then clearcoated.

obviously I will pack them well, I've already got the boxes my Hartges came in sitting at home to be used with these wheels.

what exactly do you mean when you say you'll send UPS shipping labels?

I mean that I can send you UPS labels that you print out and stick to the boxes. That way the shipping is all taken care of, you just drop them off at any UPS location and that's it.

Would you be able to get more detailed shots of the blemishes / curb marks around the edges? Those are really all I'm concerned with.

I just sold an absolutely gorgeous forged, staggered and polished set and here I am looking at another set... It's just not right. :)

hahaha. wheels are a terrible addiction, I feel your pain :D.

I'll see what I can do about some more detailed shots. I'll get back to you later this evening when I'm home from work.
