Hey I just installed my ultrasmooth cerametallic clutch from uuc and wanna know break-in procedure for a clutch like this, Ive put like 10 to 15 miles on it, its making a weird noise and my mechanic friend told me that it is normal,

Well, if it's similar enough to the 8.5 lb one, you'll have that the whole time. Good luck.

They need to go through a few heat cycles before they bed in, but they are never quiet like a standard set-up.

I'm sure it's the same as many people with this combo. It's a nice loud screeching sound caused by clutch shudder at engagement. UUC says that it's just a glazing on the clutch and you can easily remedy the situation, but that's simply not the case with my experience.
On the plus side, it holds tons of power. :)

Good clutch, I loved mine. Would definitely go with it again.
I would never go with a lightweight flywheel though... That noise would drive me nuts.
EDIT: To answer your question, I drove mine nicely for a good 350 miles around town. I limited chatter and high rpm slip during this time--worked for me.

I have about 4K miles on my UUC ceremetallic with stock flywheel. I did a new throwout bearing and cleaned the FW good. No noise but my clutch is very delicate, I DD my car and rarely pull off in 1st without a little shudder.
Been awesome for my @ 425whp/tq roughly. I think the LW/FW and clutch combo is noisey and a widely known issue.
As for break in, I just drove mine with plenty of shifts without doing clutch dump burn outs. Some good heat and varying loads will do it. I don't really recall a break in period. My clutch grabs pretty hard and solid and always has. It likes a good sporty take off and shifts.
