Hey all,

my 318 needs more juice! i was toying with the idea of whether or not the blower would fit on the 1.8L 4cyl. does anyone know?

i wonder if it would clear the hood or not as well. :az:

thanks!

You want the DASC (Downing Atlanta Super-Charger), it's a positive displacement blower sorta like the MC-S', and it's been designed for your motor. Most folks, depending on state of tune, see 180-200 rwhp from it, too.

Do a search in the FI Forum, it's not that expensive (compared to the Vortech set ups for the I6's)...

yeah i know about the DASC...

was just wondering if anyone could confirm something for me. i'd imagine finding one off the MCS would be cheaper since some guys go turbo with their cars.

I don't think so. I think the MCS uses the Eaton M42 vs the DASC M62. I'm sure you could make it work but you would need a diff manifold, brackets etc. The other problem might be that you would have to spin the M42 (MCS) too fast and the efficiency would go down.
