The weather outside is frightful, the heat...it squeaks...its not delightful

I have a quick question. I've got a hi pitch squeak coming from the center of the dash. The squeaking begins when the heat is on and the fan is put on 2 and 3 the squeak. Crank it all the way no squeaking. Turn it to 1 or variable position no squeaks just heat. Could it be my blower is about to go? or something else? If that is it is there a quick fix or just replace it.

I had this problem for the last year, but finally got it fixed a couple weeks ago. Not too hard to do (I had already done it once) and it took me about 45 min to completer. For the first timer though, I would plan about an hour to an hour and a half.
