Wanted: E30 M3 Tailpanel

Looking for new or new condition tail panel for my 1988 E30 M3. Mfg 5/87. I have one on order from BMW germany,through my local dealer, but after 2 months, no luck... BMW P/N 41341959874. This is the sheetmetal that the taillights mount in. Any help to locate one would be appreciated! Car is being restored in shop!!

We recently found out thta this part is presently NLA , your dealer should have let you know this.

The rear panel of other early E30 cars is very similar . . and will fit!

Early e30 with the larger aluminum bumpers have a row of holes that need to be filled, from the rubber filler strip between the bumper and the body. Later pieces have different light openings.

The parts guy at my dealer believes they will make more, it's just a matter of time. He has been a BMW parts guy for 30 years. Maybe just a function of how many are on order and if it is worth it to pull out the old tooling? However I want the progress to move along on my restore job. So the older e30 panel will work? How much work needed to fill holes as you say? Just a few small holes and that is the only difference?
