From those of us who have done it...refinishing is no small undertaking. I spent 3 months working on them about 6 hours a week. Mine are almost mirror, but not quite.

Best of Luck (and we want pictures when you are done!)

yeah i know what you mean..a friend was just telling me it takes time and patience. i'll see what i can do but if all fails i might take it to a local place here called US wheels.

Agreed. If you are doing it for the first time, it is a real time committment. Like I've mentioned before, I really did it twice to get them where I wanted them.

Jason is your car lowered? Nice stance. Looks like no spacers?

I like the stock sport suspension ride with 17's. Refinishing my 42's and hope to attain the lip shine you have with your 5's. Did you spend some time on those?

I wish Vermont had the road smoothness you have in Kansas.

Isn't there someone the forum that has style 5's in all black with gold bolts and bb's caps?

I have a couple of pictures (from Performance BMW Magazine) of (2) E30 M3's with Style 5's (17"x8"/17"x9") with black/purple centers and gold bolts.
I will have to scan the pictures tomorrow.
I thinking about doing the same to my wheels.

Thanks!
Jason

Not sure of who you're talking about, but I'd club a baby seal for some 18" staggered style 5s.

I think these would look tiny on an E39, but work great for a smaller, lower car like a black E30 M3 :D

Not a fan of the mirror finish for the barrels. I like the OEM machined finish.

Oh, and staggered 5's would rock my world!! I have a spare kidney for the ones posted above :drool
