Does anyone know the weight of a brand new stock 1998 E36 M3, with no one in it, with a spare tire, with or without gas?

i weighed mine at truck scale. 1450kg= 3197lb no spare tire, half-filled gas tank, no passenger, 18" wheels, and half a trunk load of stereo equipment.

I weighed mine at the track recently, with a full spare/fully stock street trim and 1/3 tank of gas it weighed 3210. Mine's a 98 m3 coupe.

The 4100 or so that is listed on the driver's door jamb is the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, which includes the weight of the car plus a full load of passengers. In other words, the 4100lbs. would be the weight of the car if it were fully loaded to it's max capacity with occupants and their luggage.

The weight of the car by itself, which I believe includes a full tank of gas and the full-size spare is listed at 3175lbs. in my owner's manual.

The 3175 is with a full tank of gas. Via owner's manual.
