Guys
Passenger side rear window has not worked for a while, just a clicking sound...now the same thing with rear drivers side...I have done a regulator search and found a bunch of info.. generally speaking is there a common problem to look for? are there regulator repair kits?
Thanks

My plastic gear shred. It runs the cable the widow rides up and down.
I got a new driver door regulator and motor from www.fcpgroton.com (http://www.fcpgroton.com). 135 bucks shipped. I googled a coupon code for free shipping.

The clicking is probably the plastic gear turning but not moving the cable. Open a door up and you'll see.

Yes, they are one of the E38 weakest parts. There is no repair kit, just remove and replace. There is a place that would repair them for $75.00, forget where they are. Maybe, somebody will response to where they located.

My regulators went bad and I noticed that you bought some from FCP. What did you think of the quality of these regulators?

I bought a used one from Bavarian Auto Recyclers in Rancho Cordova. The cable was so bent and messed up on the old one that new wheels wouldn't have help me.
