You may want to break that up into two weekends. Taking on a huge install can really wear you out unless you have many tools and a lift at your disposal. Do you have the RTAB R/R tool? You have a big tie-rod separator? You have the small tie-rod separator? You have a good spring compressor? Usually those compressors with long threaded rods and hook fingers on them suck.

As far as order goes, you can do them in any order. The control arms, front sway bar, and springs/shocks can be done at the same time. You'll get some understeer until you do the rear springs and bars.

You have the rear subframe reinforcement for the bigger rear bar? If not, you will crack and rip the sway bar mount off the subframe. Even a stock bar can crack the subframe.

all the tools are my friends fathers. my buddy seems to think we can do it in 8 hours or so.

I have the turner reinforcements (just right triangles that need to be welded. right?

maybe just the c/o, rsm, control arms then drop the car, drive it so the bushing set correctly?
then the sways and the rtabs sunday?

we will see thanks for the response and any other tips are apperciated.

did the uuc sways, H&R C/O, turner RSM's;

i'm so tired.

are you supposed to use the stock rsm washers with the turner rsm's.

I set the H&R's to their lowest setting in front, I think (all the way to the bottom of the thread is the lowest seting correct

how doyou adjust the rears when loaded?

Not saying it's impossible, but I think you'll find that EXTREMELY optimistic for doing this your first time, with mostly hand tools and the car on jackstands.

I suggest doing the whole front suspension, then putting the rear springs in so as to not give you a really "weird" handling balance. Then go back and hit the RTABs and rear shocks at another time.

Just what I would do after doing almost all the work you're looking at.

2 days it is. dirt on my eyes, my knuckles are bruised and bloody. We did the front and rear H&Rs and the sways. took like 6 hours I'm still tired and swore a day later.

how much is the rear rtab tool?
where is the best place to buy one? pacific?
my buddy and his father who facilitated this project to no have one. they have 2 e36s and seems to stock pile tool, abd BMW tools so I think I want to buy one for my project and give it to them. tia

Don't just set the springs on their lowest settings. The E36 front shock doesn't allow for enough bump travel with lowered springs. You will damage the shock towers up front, and it will constantly ride on the bumpstops.

The rear shocks also bottom out. M Coupe rear shocks are shorter.
