I like the fact BMW has rid the new 5 series of the "Dame Edna" headlights. Not a big fan of the toothy new big grill. Maybe new European front bumper law?

Are you guys serious. This car is just slightly less good looking than the E39 and worlds better than the E60. The grills look a little weird in pictures but these new designs are great in person. The F01 is so nice :drool:

I don't think the car looks bad but that lower grill area does look quite close in design.

I think this is probably the base 5 as well. Therefore, the "sporty" 5 will be the bigger drive train models just like previous 5's.

I hate how everyone always bashes a new car when its unveiled then a couple months after they are the same ones drooling over it...

It's a little vanilla looking, but it's a good looking car overall I think. It'll be interesting to see what the tuners can do with it.

The front end reminds me too much of the new 7....which I hate. BUT, there's something about it that still looks better than the 7, AND it appears to have some phenominal potential for the next M5...just get rid of that god awful bumper.

Just give it time... no one has even seen one in person yet (I didn't like the F01 until I saw it in person). everyone will probably be in love with it. This happens with so many new cars that come out. In 20 years we'll all be saying "if only the 2031 5 series looked as good as the ole' F10s."

...that said, I like the F10 so far, and I am a true believer in the post-Bangle era of BMWs.

The windows look small, mimicking current US trends (see: camaro). I like the headlights more and the back end more than the E60 at first glance... I think. I definitely don't like the seam at the front of the hood. Shoulda stuck with original design cue there.

Looks like the updated 3 Series sedan from the front and an E92 from the back.

I am happy that they made the side panels have some shape, the flat ugly ones from the E60 were just brutal.

Still, they won't get my money on the newer models. Doesn't appeal to me.

That looks like a perfect evolution of the E39. The last one was just a nightmare to look at. Dont you guys remember when all BMWs look the same? One was just bigger than the other? Aint no shame in that.

I think it looks great from this angle, and with quads it will be :drool:. It just needs a more aggressive front bumper, which will probably come with the M5. Overall though it has huge potential.
