LSD swap for my '85 Euro? [Archive] - Bimmerforums

I would very much like to keep my eye out for an LSD to but in my car. What cars can you use as donners for this? I'm guessing it's got to work with the ABS.
Will have my cyl head back from the shop next Tuesday. Hope to have it running in a couple weeks. Really looking forward to driving this thing.

Basically you can swap from any E28-based E24 as well as E28's.

E24, E28, and E30. If you use an E30 you have to swap the rear cover and the flanges, but it is very easy to make this work and there are a ton of E30 LSDs.

i would get a 3.46 or 3.73 LSD ratio, theres a little tag on the LSD's that say S(number) the number is the ratio
