Looks like you're right. Exchange rate be damned, it was $33 when I bought mine.

Of course you can do and undelete. That mod is pretty cool though. I am saving the front license holder so that I can give it to the next owner of the car in case he is unlucky enough to live in a state not like Pennsylvania that does require a front plate.

I just picked the trim up at Apple BMW in York, $60. Pricey based on the prices listed in this thread, but I'd still happily pay $60 to get rid of that plate holder :)

I know for a fact Ohio has front plates. Are you not required to use them?

Unfortunately yes. I pull the front plate on all my cars unless there is a mount. When I get caught for it I just play dump and say I could not find any screw holes and do not know how to use a drill. It works most of the time.

That is funny. Even though you folks in Ohio have to deal with front plates, at least you don't have insane state inspections.

I am glad we do not have those inspections. They sound terrifying. The county I live in no longer has emission testing!

That is amazing. I got rid of my 98 e38 because it was not going to pass PA inspection for 2009 since there was a rust hole in the body big enough to pass a finger through. That is the real test in the book to, if you can pass any finger through the hole, it does not pass inspection.

Where was the hole, I would have patched it.

We were tired of looking at all the rust and having a stuck cruise control cable was the last straw in my family with owning that car. So we decided to see what we could get out of it and buy a low mileage 01. If we wanted to we could have spent $5k and got all the body work done but it was not worth it.
You mean "hillbilly chrome"?
I believe it is called West Virginia chrome.;)
