View Full Version : What is your E- Nirvana?

After a good night of spirits with friends, we discussed some really deep thoughts and real wants/needs/goals for our BMW addiction. A lot of great models tossed around but interested in what other bimmerheads want(have to have) to reach their personal Nirvana.
For me its always been EURO cars. My Nirvana would include a euro spec 635csi, M635csi, Euro 535csi or M5, Euro 7-Series or Alpina model (all 5-speed). What about your Nirvana?

Mmmm... All about the Euro cars for me too in general. Euro 6ers of any flavor, E28 535i turbo, E12 or E28 M535i, E23 745i... Any of those would be awesome and seeing as how I've got the Euro 6er part covered, I guess I should get to work on the Euro conversion and turbo for my 5! :evil2
I'd also LOVE to build another E30 335i. I didn't get to spend much time behind the wheel of the one I built but it was seriously quick. I'd start with an early 318i body, convert it to 5 lug suspension and the Euro body pieces, and build a nice high compression motor with a close ratio gearbox for it. A semi-stripped down interior with a couple of fixed bucket seats and a half cage, some nice meaty tires and big brakes... :D

When im finished with wolife, itll be one of the few (or only?) burgundrot world bumper cars that ive known of. That has been what i've wanted ever since seeing a burgundrot 6er.
The euro would be nice, but those bumpers scare the crap out of me. I like the idea of the bumper shocks, and the world bumpers update the car enough in the looks department and keep it safe from idiots!
That said, I have my eye on a few different cars. They are actually individual cars that I have seen in person. One is the E23 i sold a few years ago. Id love to be able to buy it back at some point. For this reason:

Also, even though the euros scare me, id love to get Anitas Alpina B9 off her hands if she decides to sell it in the future. '83, Blue, all the goodies...and since its Anitas car, you know its perfect...i got enough work to do with Wolfie!
And an E9, this one:

Thats a Korman built car. 88 M5 motor. I think he is installing the Alpina style air dam because the car tends to get a bit dodgy over 100mph...
Also, although not really vintage, but still a favorite, to round everything out, an E34 Touring with a B35 and 5spd swap.

Ok, since you are talking pie in the sky.
2002 Turbo
E30 M3
M1 ProCar
My M6
That would have me covered on all BMW fronts, except for the luxo-liner 7's. Although I don't think I would want a luxoliner. I would probably prefer a 1973 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with a turbo-M30!:buttrock

totally forgot about a 2002...
That would have to be a worked and carbed M10...high compression, the works. Inka orange, fender flares and some funky 70s/80s wheels

Man, where to start.
I have a pretty well sorted euro 6 that I couldn't ever give up.
I would love a well tuned E28.
An E12 533i Motorsports edition.
A S54 powered 2001 Evergreen M-Coupe.
I would love to be able to restore my '72 3.0csi.
My brother and I are building an m30b35 powered euro 323i E21 from the ground up.
Maybe, a euro E23 745i black on black lowered with blacked out BBS weaves and working HVAC.
I would trade them all, except the 6, for a chance at a 507.

Damn it, i forgot about the clown shoe cars. I want the last model year (02, 03?). Supercharged, and heavily upgraded underpinnings...other wise bone stock exterior.
Also, i would be a sucker for an 08 Z4M...only new BMW ive liked since the first Z Coupes...

Nirvana?
I'd work over both 6er's that I have right now, probably go turbo on the '85 (fully reworking the engine). Make one a screamin demon, and the other a nice night on the town style car.
But the one BMW that would hit the spot would be an Alpina B6 3.5S

I would like...
1 Euro M635 to keep in mint condition
1 633 or 635 to make a "Euro Style" boy racer type car out of (I'll probably wind up doing this to my current 633), Big turbo, high-boost B35 (400+ HP, 4.10 or 4.11 rear), slammed on coilovers, nice wide wheels (to poke, stretch, rub, and scrape), and just be a fun, fast street (maybe drift?) car.
1 E9 Coupe (3.0CSL in full Motorsport get-up, or just a stock clean white one w/ red and black interior)
1 2002 (Turbo replica on Panasports)
1 E23 (just because I miss mine) Maybe stock, maybe air ride, maybe LSX/T56 swap, nice wheels.

Now I really do HAVE TO go check out that Euro Black on black 745i. :wow

84 318. crunchy seats. automatic. 2.93 open diff. winter package. manual everything. cb radio.
I like what I have now, 86 m635 black buffallo 3.73 ls 5 speed. it's got the looks, the handles, the interior, and it still has good pick up for the 12 valve.
but I would like the M1 or a nice 840/50 6 speed.

i to have a burgundrot 6 with the world bumpers. The only difference really is you have the 633 and a 5 speed.

507
/thread.
I'm with you on that one. A 507 pretty much does it for me but I wouldn't mind having a M3 Csl if they ever come out with it or find some way to put the V8 with twin turbos in the 135. I would also do a complete restoration on the M6, not because it needs it, just because I could.
Regards,
Dwight

There's a wish I could subscribe to. I finally hot heat and light in my garage, but still don't have enough space. This winter is the sixer's turn though. Lots of restoration work ahead.

I alternate between the e9 and the e24 Coupe's...
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh93/JRanmann/_DSC0076-full-1.jpg
both are fabulous automotive examples
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh93/JRanmann/fd8ruq-1.jpg
of the absolutely most drivable (IMHO) classic road cars still around
http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh93/JRanmann/Ceylon.jpg
and it's very hard to pick just one!

- E24 M635CSI for fun trips
- E32 750i for travelling
- E28 M5 for longer fun trips with more than two people.
An E24 alpina is tempting, but I think this lot in my garage, would be awesome.

I've always wanted to do an M70 swap into an Isetta :) , but in all reality I think my next bimmer will be an e39 530i.

I totally forgot to include a 507 and I would also want a new M5 wagon (touring to me mates). ;)

someday...my garage should house:
1. e39 ///M5 (Dinan intake, chip and Eisenmann exhaust)
2. 88' ///M6 (Dinan intake, chip and exhaust)
3. x5 4.6 (maybe mod maybe not???)
4. e46 sedan (///M3 conversion)
5. an M1 sounds amazing!
6. and lets not forget the Mclaren F1 LM!!!
yup...that should just about do it for me :alright
someday...
The 507 would be the ultimate, but really I just want to "complete the set" -
E30 M3 - need it
E28 M5 - got it
E24 M635 - got it
E23 SA 745i - need it
All is achievable, but the E23 will be really hard to find.
