Black roof and maybe a fade on my carbon fiber hood for e36 AW M3

so i want to first off see how just a black roof with my carbon fiber hood looks.

second i want to see how it would look if i painted my hood white but the last 6inches (give or take) on it be a fade to carbon fiber. that is with the black roof too. and maybe one without the black roof.

and then not to mention ive always been interested in a white pinstripe around my wheels

thats my buddy austins corolla. gt2871r turbo'ed 330whp built engine lowered on ksports and custom powder coated oz superleggas. he was just at hella flush on saturday in milpitas a blacktrax.

i hope someones currently working on this.... :D

The white pinstripe would make it look better IMO :dunno. I painted my wheels black and painted the whole lip white. Im sure a small pinstripe would look sick :thumbup:.

any place that does vinyl. but i would really just suggest painting it. back when i was thinking about doing a black vinyl roof i was qouted with install like 200bucks versus getting my roof painted for 300bucks.

this guy Don Nguyen (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/member.php?u=12916) on the forums sells the vinyl for your roof i think he qouted me 85 shipped to my door. but then you gotta find someone to put it on. and even then its no guaranteed to look good.

roof black. rims black and for the hood keep the center carbon fiber and the outsides white. Split it right on the crease on the raised part of the hood. Know what im saying?

yea im actually not a big fan of that.

and id like to do something new/different.

i might end up painting the hood white and leaving the vents at the top alone. but i want to hear peoples opinions on the faded hood! or see if they have any other ideas?

the fade might look a little weird, especially in a straight line like that...but IMO the only way that fade would work is if the roof was painted a charcoal carbon fiber color to match the shade your CF hood is...thats what i did cause i did not want to have three colors on my car, in my case silver/black/Raw CF...in your case it would be white/black/raw CF...

oh, and you should contact me for any of this work...I have a business relationship with a body shop. You won't believe the prices i get.

Edit: you ever think of candy coating the hood is what i think it's called? where your hood would be white, but you could also see the CF through it? it's rare to see or find a picture of on here, but i have seen it done and its pretty cool.

and howcome ive never seen your car? do you just never drive it?

what are the prices you get? cuz for instance i can get my roof painted from white oaks autobody for 300 cuz i know the shop owner and another one of my friends, i dont know if you know him but shayan with the silver 330ci on black lm reps and black roof can get it done for 200 supposedly.
